After taking photos of the front window, I realized I needed to adjust my spotlights a bit, but you get the idea.
Here's are a few close-ups of the cork and moss balls I created. I think they're pretty fun!
Early this week, I told you that I think hanging macrame plants are coming back! I actually made these plant hangers for the windows. They were easy to create and they look a little more modern than the ones from the 70's.
Here's a closer view of the string I used.
I took this last picture from inside the window. I think all the layers makes it a really fun photo.
I wish I could provide tutorials for the cork balls and plant hangers, but unfortunately I am not allowed too. But, I think there is a definite possibility that I'll make some plant hangers for my own home. So, I'll fill you in on the details of that project when I get to it! (that is if you like the macrame plant holders) :)
Those cork string things are ridiculously cool. What an awesome effect they have! And the moss/cork balls rock, too! How do you come up with these things?!!? Amazing! Congratulations!!

What a fabulous window display using found materials - very creative. I'm constantly amazed at the decorations in Anthropologie and have done a few posts on the ones I've seen at the Toronto store.

Fabulous! I was in the store the other day, and everything looks amazing! I love the shutter wall. The detail that I especially loved was the paper flowers on the back of the central wall. Can you show us how to do those? I'm collecting ideas for my daughter's wedding (low budget, lots of DIY) and I think those flowers could be really fun incorporated into wedding decor.

ReplyDeleteSarah, Anthro has the hook up when it comes to corks. I never could have gotten that many on my own. I wish I did know where I could find tons of corks- that's a lotta wine!
